 The Province and city of Granada offer the traveller immense variety in terms of its culture, scenery, rural tourism & activities etc.. The mountains of Sierra Nevada offer much more than the winter ski & snowboard activities for which they are primarily known. This section introduces you to the endless possibilities available in the name of active rural tourism. The essential focus of this site is on the areas closer to Granada and in particular the "Valle Del Genil", (the Genil Valley), and the "Valle del Rio Monachil", (the Monachil Valley).The area's close proximity to historical sites and beauties such as the city of Granada,  Sierra Nevada's southern area of "Las Alpujarras", the bustling beach resorts of the Costa Del Sol and the better preserved seaside areas along the Costa Tropical with its stunning coastline of sheer cliffs and mountains plunging into the sea, make this an ideal and highly novel spot to visit and to get away from it all and to get a taste of something very different.
