Developments has focussed heavily on families with crêche and snow-garden establishments set up in strategic points over the slopes according to where you might prefer skiing.

Equipment Hire:

Ski Total retains a firm presence in Formigal for over 20 years. The English run establishment is located in the centre of Formigal and offers a full range of quality equipment according to your levels of skiing and snowboarding.

Shopping:

As a year round destination, Formigal has a host of quality clothing and mountaineering shops. If you have a car, visit the border with France, just 6 kms away, for the next best thing to Duty Free shopping. The neighbouring villages have plenty of shops selling local art and craft products.

Internet:

From what we have seen, this appears to be readily available with most hotels offering this as a free service thereby avoiding the need to search for cyber cafe's.

Swimming Pools / Spa's:

Many hotels have pool and spa faciltiies. Certain facilities will be included in the price of your accommodation whilst others will have to be paid for. Many hotels welcome non-residents to use their facilities.

Ski School:

The Formigal Ski School has a professional reputation for quality tuition with nearly 200 instructors during high season periods, there is rarely a question of availability. English speaking instructors can vary. Sierra Essence & the British Ski Center have contacts to be able to request the best English speaking instructors for private tuition.

Hotels:

With the ongoing dynamic changes to the resort, hoteliers have also been sharpening up their image by offering higher quality services at little additional cost and increasing their facilities and activities to cater especially for families and couples.
