For this reason, Sierra Essence now offers a unique and flexible series of personal support services that foreign visitors travelling to the Granada area may call upon for assistance and avoid annoying complications through essentially a lack of understanding and experience of how things work over here.

The services are not limited to any particular criteria and the following are some examples of client requirements:

* Foreign Identification Number Aquisition (N.I.E.)

The foreign visitor coming to Spain for the long term is generally obliged to obtain a N.I.E. (Número de Identificación de Extranjeros) or foreigner's ID number. This is obligatory for opening bank accounts, property purchases, vehicle purchase and generally for anybody staying in the country for an extended period.

The procedure is not essentially that complex but can be highly laborious and confusing with the various bits of red tape that can get in the way. Sierra Essence offers a supporting role in arranging this by accompanying you to the relevent establishments, aiding with any translation requirements and the correct completion of the required documentation so as to avoid unneccesary delays.

* Contact Search

When coming to anywhere new, (home or away), for various reasons we need specific contacts: Electricians, Builders, Lawyers etc.. At Sierra Essence we have many contacts who we use ourselves for business and personal motives and as such we find reliable in their  work to merit an introduction to you. We will arrange any meetings and stand in for translation purposes to ensure you get off on the right foot! Where we don't have specifics contacts of our own, we will research this for you according to your criteria to find the right one!

* Translation

We can verbally translate into Spanish from English, Portuguese and French. For example, if you have a meeting with a particular supplier, Sierra Essence can assist you in ensuring that everything is fully understood. We also offer written translations although these will not necessarily be accepted where legal situations are involved and instead an official translation may be required. However, where general communciations (emails, telephone calls etc..) are required with contacts/suppliers Sierra Essence can step in for you.

* Liaisons

Property owners flitting between countries often find it hard to keep control of ongoing activities abroad relating to developments with their overseas property. We offer you the peace of mind of keeping tabs on your chosen suppliers and any pending tasks to aid you in maintaining a smooth operation with regular feedback on levels of progression. One thing Spanish suppliers are renowned for is their lack of "keeping contact" with any updates on situations and how annoying it is when you are the one always feeling you have to chase them up. Sierra Essence can take a big chunk of the stress away from you there!

* Touring & Orientational Circuits

When considering a move to somewhere new, you may have an idea on the general area of interest but getting to know an area well takes time. Our local knowledge of the area combined with your priorities, preferences and other requirements will aid you in finding the "right spot" much quicker than filtering through the guidebooks! We will plan circuits for you and can even accompany you to offer additional guiding services and information along the way.

Our Rates*:

Depending on your requirements, our rates are flexible and based on the following:

1. Hourly Rate: For the occasions when you only require our assistance for a meeting for example which should only take a short period, we charge a flat 25.00€ per hour**

2. Half Day Rate: This consists of a block of up to 4 hours (morning or afternoon) set at 75.00€.

3. Full Day Rate: This implies a period of up to 8 hours*** during a day charged at a total of 120.00€

4. After Hours Rates: After 7pm, a surcharge of 15.00€ per hour will apply to the half or full day rates accordingly.

*50% of the initial quoted amount will be required in advance whilst the balance is only payable after all services have been rendered. Supplementary transport fees apply for journey's in excess of 40kms.
**For fractions of the hour a minimum of 15.00€ will be charged for up to 45 minutes after which the full hourly rate will apply.
***On full days, time may be set aside of the 8 hour period for a lunch break at no extra cost.
