Night Life & Apres Ski
The Sierra Nevada ski resort unleashes an extremely lively scene for the party animal by day and by night, especially during the high and mid-season periods.
There is a little catch however... You do not go out until 11 pm at the very earliest. This is when most bars open their doors.
Winding their way up the road into the mid-zone of the resort you will find numerous disco-bars in which to party the night away until dawn if you so desire. The most popular bars include: Mango, Chimenea, Fame, Sol, Soho, Jaleo, Crescendo and Chicle. During the course of the season they hold several promotional "fiestas", giving away gifts upon purchase of drinks.

For those of you looking to start your evening off slightly earlier, the best options are the highly atmospheric "chill out" lounge of the Crescendo Bar & locally popular "Jaleo".
Crescendo is located in the Pradollano square at the base of the pistes next to the Parador chairlift. This warm and cosy bar with its big fireplace, split level lounge areas and designer seating is perfect for early evenings or for lapping up the afternoon sun on its ample terraces before setting off for dinner.
Chill out here before the night bars really get going, sampling their homemade vino caliente and lumumba. English is spoken here. The bar generally opens from 11 am through to 1 am serving excellent snacks, meals and drinks throughout (the kitchen closes at midnight except during low season, when it shuts down at 10 pm). The "Jaleo" is an atmospheric local's bar with the pool table upstairs being of particular interest to the foreign clientel. It is located in the Pradollano square backing onto the Hotel Melia Sol y Nieve.
If you are looking for something a little more traditionally Spanish, the passageway beneath the Mont Blanc Hotel/Apartments is home to some excellent tapas bars where you get a little plate of food (tapa) along with your drink. This is an excellent solution for people who want after-ski munchies before dinner and don't want to ruin their appetites utterly. Popular bars here are El Cartujano, Bar Esqui and El Mazon.
